Ann Goldman, Principal

Ann serves a national clientele from her home in the Rocky Mountain foothills of Colorado where she has lived since 2006. Her professional roots are in Chicago’s nonprofit community where she built her career in some of the city’s most prestigious institutions. She is the co-founder of Front Range Source, an online community of fundraisers. Ann served as director of corporate, foundation and government relations at the Museum of Science and Industry where she oversaw an annual $11 million corporate, foundation and government fundraising program and led a comprehensive capital campaign for the U-505 submarine. Prior to joining the Museum, Ann held the position of midwest regional campaign director for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation’s $100 million research campaign where she oversaw major gift fundraising in twelve markets. Formerly, Ann was director of major gifts at the Children’s Memorial Hospital Foundation in Chicago. Prior to joining Children’s Memorial, Ann helped establish the Chicago office of Barnes & Roche, Inc., a fundraising consulting firm, where she helped numerous clients with annual and capital fundraising projects. Ann has developed curriculum and taught for such organizations as Chicago’s Nonprofit Financial Center, the Colorado Nonprofit Association, Donors Forum of Chicago, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and Northwestern University’s School of Continuing Studies. Ann also brings to her clients a strong background in writing, having developed case statements, proposals and other communications materials for dozens of organizations. She collaborated with her husband, photographer Andrew Goldman, on the book Facing North: Portraits of Ely, Minnesota, released by the University of Minnesota Press in spring of 2008. Ann has served on the board of Impact on Education in Boulder, Colorado, on the advisory board of the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust in Oak Park, Illinois, and on the board of directors of the Chicago Foundation for Women. She was a founding board member of Wonder Works, a children’s museum in Oak Park. She has also served as a director of the Community Chest of Oak Park and River Forest and served two terms on the board of directors of the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Ann is a graduate of the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England where she received her B.A. with Honors in Philosophy. |
